Knights of La Mancha
Come look around you: darkness cold surrounds you
A world full of evil and greed
To gray turns once bright light, thoughts cold as the night
Of hope has been crushed every seed.
Will you let this plague spread? Will you bow down your head?
Surrender your dignity?
No, stand by my side, believe and have pride
Fight back: break the chains and be free!
So spoke the old man, with sword in his frail hand
Against the grim world a lone knight
Not for fortune or fame, but for justice the flame
For the downtrodden to fight
A questing knight to be, his dream and destiny
Defender for the oppressed and weak
But what can a lone man win against the might of sin
To deaf ears it seems he did speak
I too as that old knight in the end fought alone
Trying to change this world, bring warmth to hearts of stone
But no one needs this fool’s quest, windmills I feel I fight
So die must my dreams now as I blow out my soul’s light
And so alone I’m standing, in this soulless wasteland
Abandoning all hope, my heart held in my hand
No choice but to tear it out, and bow down: I had lost
Could not turn to a kind world this cruel realm of frost
The hard way I learned that evil must win
Good deeds are worthless to all
To succeed you must bow down and embrace sin
Compassion’s for fools bound to fall
Lost all I had, compassion and love
The last knight of a losing side
So for a heart of steel, the weak to rise above
I traded blinded by pride
I saw you but saw through you, emptiness I had found
You stopped beside me as my heart fell to the ground
On its last beat, then would die compassion’s spark
A hand you put on my hand as I slipped towards the dark
But when I looked into your eyes, all I could see was fear
You should not have stopped: demons are drawing near
No knight to fight for your cause
And no sword for you to wield
Evil of man in demon form
And no one you from it to shield
And I looked in your eyes, I could not leave you there
To fight all alone, not when for me you care
So let me defend you now, this is my last stand
Run, escape the demons, as I fall with sword in hand
But you stood unmoving still, and so this is our fight
To face the demons of this world, defend the shard of light
That shines from your eyes into mine, and makes it worth to try

A mask behind to hide my fears
A wicked smile: I’ll show no tears
No dreams in cold glass eyes
As I rise to live a life of lies

Once I was a dreamer, with a burning heart
Filled with hopes and dreams, but they were torn apart
I wanted evil to fight, and find friends and trust
But the world around is cold, with no love, only lust
Still I reached out, to conquer the fears
As a moth to flame, all that I got was tears
Broken, I recoiled, it was all in vain
So I take on a mask, to hide away my pain
A mask behind to hide my fears
A wicked smile: I’ll show no tears
No dreams in cold glass eyes
As I rise to live a life of lies
Steel clad, my scars hidden by plate
And I’ll smile to the cruel ones I hate
A trained response, then turn away
Never speak up, it won’t help anyway
Passing the grey and mask clad crowd
My head held high while theirs are bowed
And I’ll pretend as do the rest
That I’m content to live this bitter jest
Still when alone, I’ll sometimes dream
I’ll tear off my mask and in silence scream
I see that my dreams are into ashes turned
Gone is what I tried to save after I was burned
No place for a hero in this world so cold
Where indifference rules, and dreams bought and sold
Can’t find a soul that understands the way I feel
So I turn back, take on my mask of steel

I look out in the crowded room
And see a soul I know must head for doom
No mask to hide the hopes and dreams
Quickly she’ll fall, crushed by their schemes
It’s like a mirror, of what I once were
The smile that I lost is shining on her.
If she is me, then who am I?
All that I have, is it all just a lie?

The Fall of the Elven Lord
Gather around, a story I will tell:
Of how the elven lord fell
In the battle of sudden flame
When he chose death rather than shame
The elves came from over the sea
The dark lord was their enemy
They laid siege to his dark realm
The world from his evil to defend
Mountains shatter spewing forth smoke and lava red
The Dark Lord has risen his power all now must dread
Fire breathing dragons charged from the black gate
Demons wielding whips and swords are here to seal your fate
Creatures that once were elves that were twisted by dark spells
In plate armour charge from the gates of the dark realms
Against elves and men they fight to conquer Middle Earth
To enslave or kill they seek, turn cities into dirt
The elven host fell one by one
All around dead, all hope was gone
The elven lord then stepped forth
Slaying the demons he challenged their lord
I fear not death, I fear not pain
I will avenge all who were slain
I will not yield as long as I stand
Never your foot will stand on this land
In black armour the dark lord stepped forth
Through the black gate out from the north
The two lords charged: the dark and the light
To death the final fight
I fear not death: if that is the price
I’ll gladly pay Dark Lord of lies
If by my death, defeat you I can
Gladly I’ll fall to save elf and man

And so he died: the elven lord
The warrior brave that all adored
Crushed under the dark lords heel
Wounding the dark lord with his steel
So bring your blades: elves and men
Prepare our homes to defend
We have been called to fill the breach
So that our homes darkness won’t reach
Never retreat; never give inn:
We’ll die as one to save our kin
Into the battle charge with drawn sword
We shall defeat the Dark Lord

Deadly rocket was remade
To leave earth
Sputnik satellite man made
Space age’s birth

All the people from the nearest town
Gathered to merriness in the night
Not far from their houses own
When suddenly the wind blew the light
Watch the sky: it’s a full moon,
And all evil is set free,
For tonight the dark power
Is as strong as it can be.
By the full moon all the beast-men
Will convert to their true form.
Killing all humans in sight,
Raging as an evil storm.
Watch the sky, as it turns crimson,
By the flames of your own town.
When the beast-men charge upon you,
You are doomed standing alone.
Where have all your allies gone?
You ask, seeing your kin die.
They are buried long ago,
And in your heart you know why!
I saw my friends die one by one
To keep you free, but then you were gone
Full of fear you surrendered instead
Bent your knee, joined the beast men dread
We sacrificed our life so you could live free
Now you’re alone try to live on bent knee
As slaves you live as slaves you die
No one will answer when in pain you cry
You lost your chance: from this world we’re gone
The beast you let rule and yourself became one
Backstabbed by allies we fell on the ground
To your new masters you brought us chain bound
They tortured, broke us so we’d yield to their will
Made us ghosts immortal that would for them kill
We’ll never follow we’ll never yield
The beast men died none from us could them shield
A shadow dark with sword in its hand
That’s all left for us now we’ll haunt their land

Try to fend back from his porch the beasts
They are so ready on his kin to feast
A pure heart but he falls in the end
Will his effort fail? Who will them defend?
Dark shadows gather as the man falls down
Dark figures take form from the blood on the ground
With swords and shield, the twisted remains
Ghost that were once men that died on these plains
We’ll not stand idle, when good men fall
We will join their side when for help they call
The beast rules mankind, few will fight back

Tale of the Copper Guard
The people of Triman with weapons gathering
Rising against the rule of an oppressing king
They will not back down they will demand their right
Against them the king his soldiers sends to fight
The sun god’s sign burning on my shield
As I charge over the battlefield
The next in line to the throne of Triman
I challenge the king’s leading knight
To settle this war in a one on one fight
To end this battle before it has begun
The war still rages on fuelled by people’s hate
Finally, we break through the king’s castle’s gate
The king has now no choice, his power is lost
The people have won, but to what a cost?
I will give up my claim to the throne
To prevent any king from ruling alone
That neither side in this war should rule this kingdom
The princess as new ruler is named
To settle the dispute that so many lives claimed
A council is made to guarantee the people’s freedom
The king ponders on his throne, dark thoughts on his mind
Secret of eternal life the king desires to find
Sorcerers he gathers to cast an ancient spell
Opening a portal into the depths of hell
To gain life eternal his daughter’s soul he’ll sell
Demons enter the king’s realm to take her through the gate
No one her can save now, her father sealed her fate
With drawn sword I charge, demons I don’t fear
They fall for my blade: victory is near
Through the gate of hell the princess disappears
All hope gone, the princess lost,
her soul damned forever
Only hope is now to go
to hell to retrieve her
To the ancient monastery
Sviatogor I’ll travel
Beg the copper guard to send
me to realm of evil
See them reaching for the stars
Walls of Sviatogor
Never breached, since ancient times
Shelter against war
Built by angels long ago
Citadel eternal
Here the copper knights stand guard
Against might infernal

A mere man over hell’s might
Victorious I now stand
A bright light surrounds us both
As I take her hand
We rise up to heaven’s gate
I can’t enter with her
